My flash document won't open?

im working on a project using adobe flash. i closed it last night and opened it tried opening it this morning only to be met with an error message informing me the document can't be opened. i can't use my backups considering the last time i updated any of them was like centuries ago. however, i the swf file works perfectly. is there a way i can get my data back from the swf file or any other way to restore my document back since i have only a few days to submission. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP
