Brand new i7 2600K CPU, no huge increase in Encoding times over old athlon 4200+?

Are you using a 32 bit or 64 bit OS?? I would assume the hard drives SATA 3Gt/s, not the SATA 6GT/s with high cache. how much of what RAM? what video card? These are all factors to consider. The 2600K is a monster compared to the old 4200 but if your not utilizing the advantages it wont mean much.
