Please help..how to play swf files ?

i downloaded adobe flash player version 10.3 and installed it successfully..but i cannot find it on my computer..i also dont get it in the list of programs when i tried to open a swf file..i have no problem in viewing you tube or any other animations on web..please help me how to play these files using this adobe flash player..
