Makeup ideas for my grandad's party?

He's having an 80th birthday party this weekend at a somewhat posh Italian restaurant. My outfit is mainly black with a hint of blue and grey. My hair is going to be in a fishtail plait. I have almost every kind of makeup and I don't want to try anything too complicated although I can apply makeup to a decent level. I'm not too keen on having things on my lips and I want my eyes to be the main focus as I'm told most often that they are my best feature.
