How big would a fake piercing hoop of 3/8 in or 10mm look on a face?

I'm 17 and am wanting to get a lip piercing done on my left side. However before I do this, I want to check out and see how such a piercing would look (hoop or stud). For a 17 year old girl, I am super short and tiny. I'm almost at 5 foot and pretty much facial features are proportional to someone of that size, meaning that lips, face, etc are all super tiny. Now I've been looking at sites that sell the fake lip rings and studs, and for the hoops it says they are around 3/8 of an inch or 10mm. Now, yes I know how big 3/8 of an inch is on a ruler, but in relation to my face how big would that be, or end up looking. When I actually get this done, I know that the piercing will be quite large for awhile to deal with swelling but eventually I want to change it to a tiny stud or hoop. So, for someone with a tiny face/features would a fake hoop of that size look a bit ridiculous and when I actually get the deed done, how large will the piercing look on my face (until it's okay to change it?)
